MSL Business School Launches the MSL Centre for Career Development
MSL Business School has launched a Ghana-focused career development platform that brings career direction, CV and LinkedIn guidance, interview and aptitude practice, professional toolkits and optional individual support into one connected experience.
MSL Business School officially launched the MSL Centre for Career Development during an online session on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. Built around the theme Beyond the examination and towards the career, the Centre addresses a challenge that does not disappear when a student passes an examination or earns a qualification.
A strong qualification matters. Candidates must still decide which opportunities suit them, show evidence of what they can do, write applications that are relevant to the role and prepare properly for interviews, aptitude tests and the workplace itself.
The Centre brings that work into one connected platform. It is designed for school leavers, university students, professional students, graduates, early-career professionals, managers and senior professionals. Each person may enter at a different point, but the aim is the same: make the next career action clearer and more deliberate.
Why MSL built the Centre
During the launch, MSL founder Michael Siaw Larbi spoke about capable candidates who lose opportunities because their CVs describe duties instead of evidence, their applications are not aligned to the role, or their interview preparation begins too late.
The Centre gives visitors a practical place to work on those weaknesses before an important decision arrives. It does not promise employment. It provides direction, tools, practice and optional individual support so that people can compete on the strength of truthful evidence and serious preparation.

Begin with the question you are trying to answer
Someone choosing a career direction should not be sent immediately to a CV template. A graduate preparing for an interview does not need the same first step as a manager trying to present leadership impact. The Centre therefore offers three clear ways to begin.

Choose a direction before investing in the wrong route
The Career Planning Centre helps visitors compare career options, understand how different business careers work in Ghana and turn an emerging direction into a practical plan. It is the right starting point for a school leaver, student or professional who is still deciding what kind of work to pursue.
The planning tools are meant to produce action. Visitors can move from exploration to a 30-day plan, identify gaps in their evidence and decide what they need to learn, build or test next.
Build evidence, then present it clearly
The CV and Applications Centre starts from a simple principle: a CV should make verified evidence relevant to a particular opportunity. Its guidance changes with the visitor's stage, because a school leaver, professional student, graduate, manager and senior leader should not be presenting the same kind of evidence in the same way.
Visitors can use the CV guidance alongside the CV Bullet Builder and Application Alignment Checker to improve how they describe achievements and test whether an application reflects the requirements of a role. The LinkedIn and Profile Centre extends that work to professional positioning, headlines, summaries and profile evidence.
Prepare for the full selection process
The Interview Preparation Centre combines preparation guidance with a live practice studio. Visitors can work through role-relevant questions, practise timed answers, examine coaching notes and improve the evidence behind each response. The emphasis is on preparing aloud and refining real examples rather than memorising a polished script.
Interview questions are only one part of selection. The Career Readiness Lab provides numerical, verbal and logical aptitude practice, while the Workplace Readiness Centre addresses the judgement, communication and professional habits required after someone enters the workplace.
Use the templates to organise the work
The Career Templates and Toolkits library contains downloadable resources for applications, career evidence, interview stories, employer research, decisions and weekly execution. These tools are most useful when they support a clear goal, so visitors should begin with the Navigator or the relevant guidance centre before choosing a template.
Those who want personalised assistance can request support from MSL Career Services. Paid support is optional. A request is reviewed by MSL for suitability and availability before any payment is made.
