The four routes at a glance
Compare by professional direction
No qualification is universally “best”. The useful question is which route's emphasis, professional context and requirements fit the work you want to build toward.
ICAG
Chartered accountancy in Ghana
Broad professional accountancy coverage across accounting, reporting, audit and assurance, taxation, finance, strategy and related capabilities, grounded in Ghana's professional environment.
Often worth exploring if: you want a broad Ghana chartered-accountancy route or see yourself in audit, reporting, finance or public financial management.
CITG
Professional taxation in Ghana
A specialist tax route covering areas such as tax practice, administration, audit and investigations, international taxation and strategic tax planning.
Often worth exploring if: tax is the profession you want, not simply one component of a broader accountancy qualification.
CIMA
Management accounting and business performance
A management-accounting route built around enterprise, performance and finance, progressing through Operational, Management and Strategic levels with case study assessment.
Often worth exploring if: you want to turn financial insight into decisions, performance improvement, business partnering and strategy.
ACCA
International professional accountancy
A broad international accountancy route spanning knowledge, applied skills and strategic professional capability, together with ethics and relevant practical experience.
Often worth exploring if: an internationally oriented, broad accountancy route is central to your plans.
MSL does not currently offer ACCA tuition.
Before you act on a result
What this navigator can and cannot tell you
Can this determine my exemptions?
No. Exemptions depend on the professional body's current rules and its assessment of your exact qualification, institution, curriculum and results. Use the result to choose what to investigate, then obtain an official assessment.
Does the top result mean the other routes are wrong for me?
No. It is the closest alignment produced by your selected priorities. The navigator deliberately shows alternatives because career goals overlap and can change.
Can I study all four qualifications at MSL?
MSL currently provides tuition for ICAG, CITG and CIMA. ACCA is included so the comparison is honest and useful, but MSL does not currently offer ACCA tuition.
Does a result guarantee admission, passes or a job?
No. The result does not guarantee eligibility, exemptions, examination success, membership, employment, promotion or earnings. Those outcomes depend on official rules, preparation and individual circumstances.
