Frequently asked questions

Where are ICAG exams written in Ghana?

ICAG Levels 2 and 3 are written at 14 examination centres across 10 regions of Ghana: three centres in Accra plus one in Tema, two in Kumasi, and one each in Takoradi, Tamale, Sunyani, Wa, Ho, Koforidua, Bolgatanga and Cape Coast. Level 1 is not written at these centres.

Can I choose my ICAG exam centre?

Yes. You select the exam centre of your choice when you register for the sitting on the ICAG student portal. Availability is limited by capacity: once a centre is fully booked it no longer shows on the portal, so late registrants may not get their preferred venue. Register early, especially for the high-demand Accra centres. Your selected centre is confirmed on the Authority to Sit document in your ICAG student portal, and on exam day you must write at that centre. See our ICAG exam timetable guide for registration deadlines and exam-day rules.

Where do Level 1 candidates write their exams?

Level 1 papers are written online with remote proctoring, so Level 1 candidates can sit the exam from anywhere and are not tied to any examination centre. Login details are emailed to candidates before the exam.

How many ICAG exam centres are there?

There are 14 ICAG examination centres in Ghana, covering 10 of the country's regions. ICAG also maintains one overseas centre in Monrovia, Liberia.

Which ICAG exam centres are in Accra?

Accra has three centres: Zenith University College, Accra College of Education (ATTRACO) near UPSA, and ICAG College at the ICAG Complex, Okponglo, East Legon. The UG Tema Learning Centre serves candidates in Tema. The Accra centres are in high demand and can fill up before registration closes, so register early to secure your preferred venue.

When are ICAG exams held?
