ICAG Exam Timetable: July 2026 Sitting
The official ICAG July 2026 examination timetable, with every paper, date, exam centre, fee and regulation that decides whether your paper counts.
The July 2026 ICAG sitting has concluded. Level 1 online exams ran from Tuesday 30 June to Friday 3 July 2026, and the written Level 2 and Level 3 papers ran from Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July 2026. The next regular ICAG diet is November 2026, but ICAG has not yet published the November 2026 timetable or examination notice. The July timetable below remains the latest timetable published by ICAG and a historical planning reference.
ICAG runs three professional examination sittings each year, in March, July and November. This guide carries the official timetable for the July 2026 sitting, the full list of exam centres, the fees, the rules governing what you can and cannot bring into the hall, and how the schedule structures your exam week. It is maintained against the official ICAG timetable, so it stays accurate as each new diet is confirmed.

The complete July 2026 ICAG timetable
The written July 2026 papers run across five consecutive days, with one paper in each session. Levels 2 and 3 are examined in the same week, often paired on the same day. Every written paper is exactly three hours: morning papers start at 9:00 AM sharp, afternoon papers at 2:00 PM sharp. Arrive at the centre at least 30 minutes before each session.

Level 1: the online examination week
Level 1 papers are not written in the exam halls. They are examined online, the week before the written papers, and can be taken from any suitable location with a compatible computer and internet access. ICAG has confirmed the Level 1 timetable for the July 2026 diet: one two-hour paper each day, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

Log in to the assessment portal at 9:50 AM on each exam day to authenticate your credentials before the 10:00 AM start. The key rules for the online exams, from the official ICAG Notice to Level One Students:
- Logins are emailed the night before each paper. If yours has not arrived by exam day, email examsicag@gmail.com
- The exam is remotely proctored. The in-built online invigilator will ask you to capture your photo and your ID card, and records video throughout; any malpractice leads to cancellation of the paper on review of the recording
- Closed book, with an on-screen calculator. Physical calculators, digital watches, earpieces, AirPods and headphones are all treated as foreign materials and are not allowed
- Stay seated for the full duration. You cannot move away from your computer during the exam, and eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted
- Use Google Chrome on a Windows 10 (or above) or Mac OS X 10.6 (or above) computer with at least 4GB of memory, a webcam and a microphone, and an internet connection of at least 1 Mbps (10 Mbps recommended)

Cross-level paper rules for July 2026
ICAG allows students to write papers across levels in the same sitting under specific conditions. The July 2026 Notice sets the following rules.

The practical takeaway: ICAG is permissive about combining levels when you are close to finishing one and ready to start the next, but strict about Level 3 access. You cannot reach Level 3 with unfinished Level 1 papers, and you cannot reach Level 3 with two or more unfinished Level 2 papers. Plan your sitting sequence accordingly, particularly if you are aiming to complete the qualification quickly.
Strategic Case Study (Paper 3.4): the pre-seen format
Paper 3.4, the Strategic Case Study, follows a unique two-part format that students must prepare for differently from any other ICAG paper. Background information, known as the “Pre-seen”, is released to students two weeks before the exam date. This gives candidates time to study the case organisation, the industry, and the surrounding context in advance.
Important · No prepared work in the hall
You may not bring your work on the Pre-seen into the examination hall. Notes, analyses, summaries, or any prepared written material based on the Pre-seen are not permitted. ICAG provides a fresh copy of the Pre-seen, plus additional unseen information, when you arrive in the hall.
This means preparation for Paper 3.4 must include internalising the Pre-seen, not just analysing it. Anything that is not in your memory by exam day cannot be referenced. Practising under timed conditions with a Pre-seen scenario and no notes is the only adequate preparation. How much are the ICAG examination fees for July 2026?
ICAG examination fees are graduated: the more papers you sit in a single sitting, the lower the per-paper cost. The official fees for the July 2026 sitting are set out below, in Ghana Cedis.

Late registration is permitted only within one week of the deadline, up to Friday 26 June 2026, and attracts a flat penalty of GHS 400 on top of the standard fees above. After that window closes, no further registration is accepted for the July 2026 diet, and the next opportunity is the November 2026 sitting.
Script review is available for one month after the release of examination results, at a fee of GHS 1,100 per script. How do deferment and late registration work?
If you have registered for July 2026 but cannot sit, you can defer your registration to the next examination diet, but only under specific conditions. Deferment must be requested through your ICAG student portal on or before Friday 19 June 2026, the same date as the registration deadline. After that date, the only basis on which a deferment can be accepted is the limited grounds set out in Regulation 22(2) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana Regulation, 2023 (L.I. 2476).
Important · You can only defer one diet ahead
An approved deferment can only be carried forward to the next examination diet. You cannot defer multiple diets ahead. If you defer your July 2026 papers, they roll to November 2026. If you do not sit in November 2026, the deferment lapses.
Late registration is available for one week after the deadline closes, that is, until Friday 26 June 2026. The flat penalty is GHS 400. Beyond that, you will need to register for the next sitting.

Three structural features of the July 2026 schedule are worth planning around.
Reporting Monday
Paper 2.1 (Financial Reporting) in the morning is paired with Paper 3.1 (Corporate Reporting) in the afternoon. These are the two papers in the reporting stream, so students sitting both benefit from concentrated reporting revision in the final week.
Tax Wednesday
Paper 2.6 (Principles of Taxation) in the morning is paired with Paper 3.3 (Advanced Taxation) in the afternoon. The same pattern applies: both tax-stream papers fall on the same day, so final-week tax revision serves both.
Double-sitting Thursday
Thursday is the only day with two Level 2 papers, Public Sector Accounting & Finance in the morning and Financial Management in the afternoon. Any Level 2 candidate writing all six papers faces this back-to-back day. Plan your Thursday meal, your rest break between sessions, and your travel logistics carefully.
MSL guidance · The Level 3 Thursday rest day
Level 3 candidates have no exam on Thursday. This is the day to fully rest before Friday’s Strategic Case Study, the integration paper that draws on every level. Do not use Thursday to cram. Sleep, eat properly, walk through your Pre-seen analysis once, and prepare for Friday morning.

Plan to arrive at your centre at least 30 minutes before the start of each session. For candidates travelling from outside the exam city, arrange accommodation in advance: the period around ICAG sittings sees significantly higher demand for short-stay accommodation in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi. Level 2 candidates writing all six papers will be at the centre five consecutive days, so accommodation logistics matter.
What can you and can’t you bring into the exam?
ICAG’s official examination regulations are strict and consistently enforced. Violations can result in your paper being cancelled. The rules are simple but worth reading carefully now, not on exam day.

On the Authority-to-Sit
Before exam day, log into your ICAG student portal and view your Authority-to-Sit document. Note down your index number and memorise it. You must write your full index number correctly on every exam script, as a mistake here cancels your paper. Do not bring the printed Authority-to-Sit to the examination hall; ICAG specifically prohibits it.
On the Ghana Card
Only the original physical card is accepted at the centre. No photocopies, no digital photos, no expired cards. If you have lost your Ghana Card, replace it before exam day. Without valid original identification, you will be refused entry.
On valuables
ICAG accepts no liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings at any exam centre. Do not bring valuables. Travel light, and bring only what you need to write.
Important · Two triggers that cancel your paper
Failing to write your full index number correctly will have your paper cancelled. Memorise your index number now, practise writing it, and confirm it on your ICAG student portal the day before each exam.
Aiding or attempting to aid another candidate, or attempting to obtain aid, is grounds for discontinuation. The supervisor has authority to remove you from the examination room. There is no warning system: if you are suspected of misconduct, your sitting ends.
