How do I apply for an ICAG exemption?
Apply through the ICAG student portal, upload the educational documents ICAG asks for and wait for the Institute's decision. If the exemption is approved, pay the applicable fee before you treat the paper as cleared.

Start with the application, not the assumption
ICAG directs students to its portal for studentship and exemption applications. A new applicant creates an account, while an existing student uses or activates the account connected to the student record. The application instructions ask for identity evidence, a passport photograph and the relevant educational certificates and transcripts.
Your qualification is then assessed against the current exemption rules. For the academic routes in Communiqué ICAG/EXMPTNS/1/26, dated 21 August 2026, ICAG must be able to verify the transcript and certificate with the tertiary institution. The communiqué also requires a certified true copy of the completion certificate.
Seeing your qualification in a published table tells you that there may be an entitlement to apply. It is not the same as receiving an exemption on your student record. Keep planning on the basis of your confirmed record until ICAG has completed its checks, approved the application and told you what must be paid.

What to prepare before you submit
- Use the ICAG student portal connected to your own applicant or student record.
- Prepare the identity, photograph, certificate and transcript documents requested for the application.

- Wait for ICAG to confirm the papers approved for exemption and the applicable fee.
- Complete the required payment before relying on the exemption for progression or examination entry.
