What the chief examiners keep reporting

The examiners' recurring conclusion on Paper 3.4 is inadequate preparation. Candidates handle the familiar frameworks, such as value chain analysis, PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces and Ghana's corporate governance codes, but struggle with less practised models such as the BCG Matrix, the GE/McKinsey matrix and Bowman's Strategy Clock, and with the financial calculations inside the case.
